The state of the flow, which limits Zas and Vimianzo, may be affected by the decomposition of the seven specimens.

Up to seven decomposed calves were found in the Torrente River in mid-March. It was some fishermen who notified the authorities of the discovery but, three weeks later, no one has done anything to remove the bodies from the water, to the anger of the neighbors.

The animals are already very deteriorated due to the effect of water and insects. The animals, which could not be identified by Seprona or other authorities, could lead to fines of between 3,000 and 60,000 euros. However, without identifying ear tags, it is impossible to know who they belong to.

After the first investigations, the agents of the Civil Guard and the Rural Environment transferred the responsibility of removing the bodies to the Councils of Zas and Vimianzo , without anyone having taken action on the matter to date while the decomposition process progresses, with the consequent danger that this can pose. Without a response from the municipal governments, it will be an operation of the Department that will assume that task.
